The Midtown Alliance of Neighbors has been working the Fountain Avenue Neighborhood at rehabbing and preserving some of the homes. Their first house was at 1606 Martin Luther King Drive and they are currently working on their second home at 500 North 16th. These houses are being redone in a manner true to their historic nature. The attempt is to work with the cities initiative to beautify the Fountain Avenue Neighborhood and preserve its unique historic character.
The Midtown Alliance is currently doing a full rehab project on a house in the Fountain Avenue Neighborhood. Work was done to the outside of the house in summer and fall and has moved to the inside during the winter months. Things are looking good for this cute 2 bed 1 ½ bath bungalow. Property should be ready for sale by early summer.
